@Our school,Yoshijima-Higashi Elementary School,is 2-miles away from The Peace Memorial Park.All of our school walk to the Park every April,and we play one day under many cherry-blossums. Children of the fifth grade played with master of our school in the Peace Memorial Park.

The Statue of Mother and Child in the Storm represents a mother holding a baby tightly in her arm and protecting another child with her left arm, leaning forward, determined to survive whatever suffering may confront her.
