@Our school,Yoshijima-Higashi
Elementary School,is 2-miles away from The Peace Memorial Park.All of our
school walk to the Park every April,and we play one day under many cherry-blossums.
Children of the fifth grade played with master of our school in the Peace
Memorial Park.
This picnik-day is not only a funny day but also the day of Spring excurtion
A pilgrimage to centotaphs.Children walk around the park to watch some
pilgrimages to centotaphs.And they study about Hiroshima depending on the
grade.

There is Japanese Sonett("TANKA") under this statue.It was written by Ms.Shinoe Syoda.She wrote it when so many borns was discoveried at Hiroshima-city.

Sono soba ni Tiisaki atama no hone atumareri.v
(The heavy bone must be a teacher.The small skulls around it students gathered around.)

watch this monument and listen to me carefully."
The Statue of Mother and Child in the Storm represents a mother holding a baby tightly in her arm and protecting another child with her left arm, leaning forward, determined to survive whatever suffering may confront her.
